Nature Park Erzgebirge & Vogtland

The nature park Erzgebirge & Vogtland is a wonderful low mountain range with lots of woodland and a first-class recreational area with many walking trails and sports facilities. Besides that the area also offers many cultural highlights such as Schloss Augustusburg and castle Burg Kriebstein.

The Erzgebirge is a traditional mining area: you can visit old mining drifts or admire the world-famous crafts from the region, e.g. in the toy-village Seiffen.

In winter the nature park is a very good ski area and the traditional christmas markets with their miners guild parades are the most beautiful ones in Germany.
